Hillhead have been in existence for over 100 years and are situated in the heart of Glasgow's west end - about 2 minutes by car from Byres Road and within walking distance of Hyndland railway station. The club runs 3 senior teams and junior sides at 3 age levels - Under 15, Under 13 and Kwik cricket for Under 10s. There is opportunity for players of all standards and new members are always welcome. Hillhead prides itself on being a friendly but ambitious cricket club.
The First Eleven play on a Saturday in the WDCU Premiership competition (one of the "feeder" leagues for the Scottish National Cricket League) whilst the Second Eleven play (also on Saturdays) in the WDCU Premiership Reserve League. The Third Eleven – who play most of their games on midweek evenings – allows some of our younger or more inexperienced players to enjoy senior cricket in an appropriate environment. There is also a Sunday Eleven that offers further opportunity for players of all abilities and ages.
The Cricket Club is a section of Hillhead Sports Club and other sports available at Hughenden are tennis and rugby. As part of the superb newly designed facility at Hughenden, there is also a fully equipped gym and a restaurant - Cafe Source Too.
