
The history of Hillhead Cricket Club traces its’ routes back to 1904. The picture above here shows the earliest team photo on record, featuring the first XI team of 1923.

The picture to the left is of Grant Parmenter, who was the resident professional at the club in 1991. Scoring 238 not out Vs Selkirk CC on July 14th that year. The innings consisted of 22 fours and 13 sixes.
Grahame Locke “Lockie” played for 50 consecutive years, man and boy, at Hillhead CC. He followed in the footsteps of his father Harry and uncle Tom who also played for the Club. The Locke dynasty continued with Grahame’s son Hamish also represented Hillhead CC.


Season 2006 saw a successful campaign for Hillhead Cricket Club, emerging as winners of both the Western and Scottish cup. To the left is the Western cup winning team captained by Richard Bond.
