Playing members, parents and friends enjoyed themselves immensely at Hughenden’s Sports Club Bar on Saturday at the Cricket Club’s annual race night. All the fun of placing a small wager and then roaring at the horses, as their progress round the tracks was shown on the video play backs, was experienced by all present. Equally importantly was the fund raising for the Cricket Club which the race night yielded.
At the end of the evening, Club chairman, James Thornhill, thanked all who had supported the function, all those who had invested in horses for the 6 races and the Auction ; and all the race sponsors. And importantly organisers, Phil Murray, Ally Fergus and Ramzan Mohammed. It was a very successful evening, both socially and financially for Hillhead Cricket Club.
