Today, Wednesday January 15th, was ideal for the start of the winter maintenance programme on the Hughenden cricket square.
The very recent winter frosts were coming out of the ground, encouraged by the rise in temperature and the low winter sun.
The images show ground staff, Andy Carswell and Graeme Taylor, working on reducing the sward and its subsequent spiking. Further activities will comprise more feeding and sward maintenance.
