Hamish Locke Hillhead Cricket Club – RIP

Hillhead Cricket Club is saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Hamish Locke, yesterday (May 15th) in Sydney, Australia.

In his youth, Hamish was an outstanding all round athlete with prowess in swimming, athletics, rugby and cricket. He attended Jordanhill Primary in Glasgow, and then Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh. He graduated from Loughborough with an International Business Degree.

Hamish achieved U17 and U 19 representative cricket honours for Scotland, and post school/University, he represented Canada, his mother’s birthplace, in Rugby League. Latterly he had a fledging career as a professional boxer.

His home Clubs were Hillhead Jordanhill RFC and Hillhead Cricket, for whom he played with distinction when home from School and University.
